The Fallen Earth launch game contains over 1000 square kilometers of territory, broken up into multiple game sectors. The six main factions compete for influence and territory within these spaces, struggling over the world’s diminished resources following plagues and nuclear devastation.
I worked with multiple teams developing the launch game story, and later its critical game systems such as combat, crafting, and encounters. Weapon and mutation balance proved singular challenges that were nevertheless a great teacher.
Fallen Earth is the post-apocalyptic massively multiplayer online game where I got my start in the industry. From my first role as a Writer, through my position as the Systems Team Lead, our team cut our teeth in the business and built a game unlike any other.

The Fallen Earth Blood Sports expansion was our player-versus-player focused battleground matchmaking system and small-scale arena gameplay. Players completed for dominance in one of several game modes.
My work as Systems Team Lead continued in helping to develop the rule sets and rewards for participating in blood sports, as well as helping integrate it diegetically into the wider setting.
